2016 NDPHA Call for Nominations

The North Dakota Public Health Association is proud to present the Call for Nominations 2016. The NDPHA Awards promote the recognition of excellence, outstanding service, innovation, and dedication to public health. If you know of someone who has gone above and beyond in the world of public health and deserves recognition for all that they do, please nominate them for one of the following NDPHA awards:

Public Health Worker of the Year,which honors a current member of NDPHA for outstanding public health contributions or achievements in the past year

Public Health Team of the Year,which honors a team that has worked collaboratively on a unique, creative, or simply outstanding public health effort, program, or goal in the past year – (At least one team member must be a current NDPHA member.)

Outstanding Service Award,which honors an individual, either lay or professional, for outstanding work or achievement over their lifetime in the field of public health

If you have nominated an individual in a prior year, and that individual did not receive an award, please consider doing so again. Each year many worthy nominations are made but only one award per category can be distributed. It seems a shame that some very worthy nominees are only nominated once. The Awards Committee strongly encourages re-submissions.  

The awards will be presented at the Dakota Conference on Rural and Public Health, which will be held May 16-18, 2016 at the Alerus Center, Grand Forks, ND. Deadline for submission of award nominations is Tuesday, January 25th, 2016.
